Orbs

Shadow Orb

A pale ceramic sphere for light surfaces with a soft highlight, inner shading and a blurred contact shadow beneath it. A three-color palette sets the base, highlight and shadow tones.

The source comes with full access.

One payment of $149 ($49 for now) opens the source right here and lets the CLI install every paid component, with lifetime updates.

Installation

pnpm dlx shadcn add @01orbital/shadow-orb
npx shadcn add @01orbital/shadow-orb
yarn shadcn add @01orbital/shadow-orb
bunx --bun shadcn add @01orbital/shadow-orb

Part of the 01orbital library. With a license, put ORBITAL_TOKEN in .env.local and the same command installs it (licensed install, pricing).

It lands at components/orbs/shadow-orb.tsx, as source you own and edit.

Usage

import { ShadowOrb } from "@/components/orbs/shadow-orb"

// The palette is the knob: the orb's base, its highlight and the shadow it casts.
const PALETTE = {
  orbBase: "oklch(0.87 0.018 75)",
  orbHighlight: "oklch(0.95 0.014 75)",
  orbShadow: "oklch(0.4 0.03 55 / 0.18)",
} as const

export default function ShadowOrbDemo() {
  return <ShadowOrb palette={PALETTE} size={280} />
}
