Floating Chat Launcher Widget

Floating chat launcher pill with an Orbital orb that opens a non-modal Base UI dialog: a greeting with suggested prompts, then the conversation and a message input. Ships a scripted preview reply.

The source comes with full access.

One payment of $149 ($49 for now) opens the source right here and lets the CLI install every paid component, with lifetime updates.

Installation

pnpm dlx shadcn add @01orbital/chat-launcher-01
npx shadcn add @01orbital/chat-launcher-01
yarn shadcn add @01orbital/chat-launcher-01
bunx --bun shadcn add @01orbital/chat-launcher-01

Part of the 01orbital library. With a license, put ORBITAL_TOKEN in .env.local and the same command installs it (licensed install, pricing).

It lands at components/blocks/chat/chat-launcher-01/index.tsx, as source you own and edit.

Usage

import ChatLauncher01 from "@/components/blocks/chat/chat-launcher-01"

export default function Example() {
  return <ChatLauncher01 />
}

Anatomy

Floating Chat Launcher Widget is built from 2 parts.

  • ChatLauncher01: The chat launcher block: a ChatWidget with three suggested questions and a scripted reply. Swap useScriptedChat for useChatStream to answer from your own chat route.
  • ChatWidget: A chat launcher pinned to the bottom center of the window: a pill with an orb, a title and a status line. Clicking it opens a chat panel over it, with a greeting and suggested questions before the first message, then the conversation and a message field. The built-in orb breathes while the panel is open.

ChatLauncher01

The chat launcher block: a ChatWidget with three suggested questions and a scripted reply. Swap useScriptedChat for useChatStream to answer from your own chat route.

ChatWidget

A chat launcher pinned to the bottom center of the window: a pill with an orb, a title and a status line. Clicking it opens a chat panel over it, with a greeting and suggested questions before the first message, then the conversation and a message field. The built-in orb breathes while the panel is open.

The panel is a non-modal dialog, so the rest of the page stays usable while it is open. Pass your own turns and onSend to connect a chat.
